Prime For Life
The courses of Prime For Life are used for those who have DUI, OUI, reckless driving, careless driving, public intoxication, minor possession of alcohol or marijuana, or other high-risk choices. The goal of Prime For Life is to help refocus the thoughts of those who are completing dangerous and deadly acts to see that their choices will impact their lives and the lives of others for years to come.
The program helps to provide an understanding of how drug-related problems develop and what we can do to prevent them. This evidence-based method has been shown to be effective worldwide by providing motivational self-assessment and shifting attitudes. Prime For Life is beneficial for all groups of people who are making high-risk choices or who have been mandated to take these courses by the state of Utah. Prime programs are appropriate for ages 13 and older.
How The Program Works
The Prime For Life program has many moving parts and teachers that will help improve the mindset of high-risk individuals. We help to examine personal risk and prepare the individual for personal change.
The presentations are media-rich and help to keep the audience engaged. With persuasion and motivational protocol, we help to emphasize the role of empathy, new thinking, and better decision-making. Throughout the course participants will be required to do coursework, participate in sessions, and create a plan for success. Reducing the risk of alcohol and drug-related problems is our goal of Prime For Life and Red Willow.
High-Risk Choices Shouldn’t Be The Norm
During the program, the instructor will address the participant’s attitudes, beliefs, motivations, risk perceptions, and risk reduction knowledge. Prime For Life wants to help lower the number of alcohol and drug issues that are spreading across the United States. Our scientific-based methods and the science-backed Prime For Life program can set teens and adults up for better success.
Red Willow Counseling and Recovery offer Prime For Life classes on the second weekend of each month on both Saturday and Sunday from 9-5. If you are looking to schedule a class or have more questions, please call our Salt Lake office.
