Here are our most common questions about our Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP FAQ). If you can’t find the answer to your questions please contact us today.
No. We have working relationships with detox providers and can provide referrals. However, detox should be completed before entering into the program.
No. We address and treat mental health, trauma, and process addictions as well. These include but are not limited to, sex, gambling, and gaming for example.
No. While we emphasize and hold accountability for building a strong support-network through engagement in community organizations and groups, we do not require participation in any one-type of mutual support group (such as a 12-step program). There are a wide range of support options available, based on individual preference. Healthy and positive social support has been shown to dramatically increase success with long-term recovery.
All groups are facilitated by licensed clinicians: Master’s-level clinicians facilitate all Process Groups, and Psychoeducational Groups are run by Substance Use Disorder Counselors.
We ask for a minimum commitment of 12-weeks for clients entering our program. However, successful completion of the program is not determined by time, but rather completion of individualized goals and engagement in the program.
We administer randomized, weekly drug and alcohol testing, working with an outside laboratory to ensure accurate and sophisticated results.
Relapse can be part of the process of recovery and is addressed on a case by case basis, with input from the client, their therapist, case managers and the program director.
We do not prescribe medication. However we do have working relationships with many health care providers in the area whom we may provide referrals to, based on individual need.
We offer a very reasonable cost for our programming. If you have Out-of-Network benefits with your insurance, you will likely pay much less. For more details contact our admissions team.
We are in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield, SelectHealth, United Healthcare, University of Utah Health Network, and Cigna. However, if clients have out-of-network benefits with their insurance, we can bill through that coverage.
